Cyber Security is a vast network of roles and responsibilities, but there are two main factions that remain steadfast. On one hand you have the defending Blue Team, whose ultimate goal is to maintain the CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability). Red Team, on the other, exercises the common tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP's) against the Blue Team in order to locate vulnerabilities, test defense infrastructure, and ultimately aid in the remediation of previously known or unknown vulnerabilities in the network. Simulated attack is such a pivotal role in ensuring the data defenders have the best chance to be proactive instead of reactive.
